Kern Community Foundation’s Community Initiatives

Community initiatives are funds that are run by a volunteer committee, supported by Kern Community Foundation staff, and have their own independent grantmaking capability, addressing the pressing needs of our community.

Three Community Initiatives currently exist at Kern Community Foundation:

• The Women’s and Girls’ Fund
• Kern River Valley Community Fund
• Upper Kern Fisheries Enhancement Fund
