Independent Living Center of Kern County (ILCKC) is celebrating the 34th anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
On July 26, 1990, George H.W. Bush signed the ADA into law.
This important civil rights law prohibits discrimination against individuals
with disabilities in various areas of life. These areas include jobs, schools,
transportation, and all public and private businesses open to the public.
ILCKC is honored to host a conference in recognition of this landmark legislation.
