Join Kern Community Foundation and local nonprofits as we announce Kern’s annual day of giving, Give Big Kern, scheduled for May 2, 2023. Give Big Kern is an opportunity for all of Kern to come together as one community, raising dollars and volunteer hours for local nonprofits through online crowdfunding, matching gifts, and pledges. Donors can make donations on Giving Day or begin donating to their favorite local nonprofits as early as April 3, 2023!
Since 2016, Give Big Kern has raised a record-breaking $885,235 with 2,398 individual donors for 132 local nonprofits. The collaborative effort helps Kern’s community-based organizations raise unrestricted resources while growing their visibility, capacity, and sustainability.
In real-time, www.givebigkern.org will capture the number of donors, volunteers, and total amount of dollars raised, with prize grants awarded to recognize nonprofits with the highest achievement.
The community can get involved and support a cause by:

- Pledging volunteer hours through www.givebigkern.org
- Liking and sharing Give Big Kern social media content to get the word out
- Starting an online fundraiser through a nonprofit’s Give Big Kern page to encourage friends, family, and coworkers to give to your favorite charity.
