Aera Energy Fund Grant Gets Results, Foundation Among Nation's Top 100 Most Active Grantmakers Among Community Foundations

$100,000 grant from the Aera Energy Fund helps to prepare local pre-schoolers for kindergarten, and Kern Community Foundation ranks among top 100 most active grantmakers among community foundations for third year in a row. 

Aera Energy Fund Grant:  Last week I had the privilege of joining Gaurdie Banister, President and CEO of Aera Energy LLC, to award a grant from the Aera Energy Fund at Kern Community Foundation to support "Ready to Start," a public-private partnership focused on helping local pre-schoolers prepare for kindergarten. Top 100 for Kern Community Foundation: For the third year in a row, Kern Community Foundation has ranked among the top 100 most active grantmakers among community foundations nationwide according to a recent report by CF Insights and the Council on Foundations.  Read more about how local grantmaking and giving compare to the rest of the nation here.
