The 2015 Report on the Status of Women and Girls in Kern County offers a look at how Kernís females are faring in key areas vital to their well being. This report is a compilation of current research on issues and trends that impact the lives of the nearly 425,000 women and girls who live within the County.

Our intent is to provide a snapshot of where women are succeeding, where opportunities are most evident, and where obstacles are preventing women from fully contributing to Kern Countyís economic, social and cultural growth. This report offers benchmarks that can be used by local leaders to measure future progress in quality-of-life issues throughout the County.
